Revamp your Sims’ financial life with the SNB - Bills mod! 📬 This add-on overhauls EA’s billing system by splitting bills into Water & Sewer, Electricity, Trash, Cable, Internet, Cellphone, and Property Taxes, each with consequences for non-payment. It also introduces government benefits to support low-income or struggling households.

🏅 Key Features:
📊 Detailed Billing System:

• Bills are split into distinct categories: Water & Sewer, Electricity, Trash, Cable, Internet, Cellphone, and Property Taxes.
• Consequences for Non-Payment:
  • Past-due Internet cuts off most computer options and adds interest.
  • Unpaid Property Taxes or Apartment Rent can lead to public shaming and potential Death by Embarrassment if listed in newspapers.
• Property Taxes: Calculated as 15% of lot value (customizable) every 4 weeks. Rent replaces taxes for apartments, due weekly. Non-payment risks death after 4 weeks.
• Home Services Setup: Choose services via the Cellphone Household menu or mailbox under Show Bill Information > Home Services. Options include pre-made Welcome Home Packages (Basic, Full, Premium) or custom setups.
• Fast Internet Lot Trait: Requires Premium Internet subscription for residential lots; free for commercial lots (as of v0.4.0).

👨‍👩‍👧 Government Benefits & Services:
Access via the Government Benefits Portal in the Bills App on the phone or mailbox.

• Child Support:
  • Custodial parent must apply (not automatic as of v0.8.0).
  • Calculated as §550 + 5% of non-custodial parent’s Household/SNB Accounts + 25% of career pay per child (customizable except Household Wealth).
  • Payments prioritized over household bills; autopay supported.
  • Receiving households can allocate payments to SNB accounts or Household account. Payments stop if the non-custodial parent can’t pay (inactive households).
• Alimony:
  • Must apply post-divorce before the Divorce moodlet expires.
  • Calculated as §1,200 + 5% of paying Sim’s Household Wealth + 25% of career pay. Stops after remarriage or 4 billing cycles.
  • Payments prioritized; autopay supported. Receiving Sim sets up Direct Deposit via the Portal.
• Wel-Fund 4 Families:
  • For single-parent households not receiving Child Support.
  • Grants §350 per child (under Young Adult) per billing cycle; §500 per semester for college-enrolled Young Adults.
  • Eligibility: Lot value < §40,000 or rent < §800, no business ownership, unemployed/part-time/full-time earning < §1,050/week, unmarried, no Child Support.
     

⚙️ Settings & Customization:

• Adjust Property Tax rate (default 15%), Utility Bill costs (0-99% to reduce, 101%+ to increase), and Child Support/Alimony rates (flat fee and career pay percentage).
• Enable Autopay to deduct bills from Household or SNB accounts (or debit card with SNB 3.1.0).
• Settings are global, applying to all households in a save.

🏠 Rental Properties (For Rent Pack):

• Supports multiple property tax bills for owned properties (requires R|E 0.2.0+). Utility bills apply only to the main residential lot.
• Known Issue: Residential Rentals override Fast Internet and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle lot traits for non-primary homes. Bills show as “Misc” in the app.
