What is the mod and what is it for?

This mod enhances the Neighborhood Stories system in The Sims 4 by allowing Sims to get married autonomously, starting their own families without player intervention. It also introduces a new social interaction, "Suggest Trying Online Dating," which encourages single Sims to seek love and potentially find a spouse.

The mod is designed to make the game world feel more dynamic and alive by enabling Sims to form relationships and build families independently, adding depth to storytelling and gameplay.

Key Features:

1. Autonomous Marriages:

   • Sims can now get married autonomously through the Neighborhood Stories system if the feature is enabled in the settings.
   • The chosen spouse will:
     • Be single.
     • Be in the same age group as the target Sim.
     • Match the sexual orientation of the target Sim.
     • Not have the "Non Committal" trait.
     • Change their last name to match the target Sim's last name.
     • Potentially bring underage children (if they are a single parent) or pets to the marriage.
    

2. Dynamic Marriage Chances:

   • The likelihood of a Neighborhood Stories marriage depends on the number of married Sims in your save. Fewer couples increase the chances of autonomous marriages, while many couples reduce them.
    

3. New Social Interaction: "Suggest Trying Online Dating":

   • Found under the Friendly Interactions > Deep Thoughts pie menu for single Sims.
   • Encourages Sims to seek love, with varying success based on traits and circumstances.
   • Sims with the Family-Oriented or Romantic traits have better chances of success.
   • Sims with the Non Committal trait will always reject the suggestion.
   • Success or failure grants moodlets to both Sims involved.
    

4. Compatibility with Neighborhood Stories System:

   • Married Sims can start families through pregnancy or adoption via the Neighborhood Stories system.
   • Ensures no unattended minors or pets are left behind in the original household after a marriage.
    

5. Optional Legacy Support:

   • If you prefer the older version of the mod (not tied to the Neighborhood Stories system), it remains available but will no longer receive updates or bug fixes.
