The “Life on the Farm” mod, created by Wicked Pixxel for The Sims 4, is a gameplay-focused add-on that allows players to hire day laborers to help with farming tasks. Unlike a full expansion pack, this mod focuses on crop automation and management.

The main feature of the mod is the ability to hire up to two day laborers to plant and tend to gardens, regardless of their size. To activate this feature, Sims must have the new “Farmer” trait, which can be found in the Lifestyle category of Create a Sim mode.

Once in the game, the mod introduces new interactions via the computer. These allow the player to select “Start Day” to have the day laborers appear on the lot, and “End Day” to dismiss them along with the rest of the NPCs (non-player characters). In addition, new social interactions with the day laborers are added, offering greater immersion in the theme of farm life.
