On Tour Save File

This new "On Tour" Save File and Challenge lets your Sim travel (kind off) around with a RV. I added RV's in almost all worlds I own. They are all the same, so it is like you moved to the next spot.

Even Sim players with a lot of packs have favorite worlds they are playing over and over. I am guilty about this too. I have a view worlds I barley played in and many features of the game I almost never play. Its normal to have favorites and stay in our comfort zone. But this save file and challenge tries to change that and get you and your Sims on a journey through the Sims worlds.

The save file has RV's in the most worlds (some worlds I don't own and as a Trekkie I don't visit Batuu, does anyone?). Your Sim can (pretend to) drive to other worlds with their RV and stay there for a while.

There are two possibilities to move to the next RV location:

How to move explained in a video on YouTube.

- The simple way is just to rent a lot with a RV per telephone. Most lots with a RV are vacation rental lots, a few are parks or something else but you can change them to vacation lots.

- The other possibility is a little bit more work for you, but you could change your RV and pick up stuff on the lot. A detailed how to move is on the end of this article and in this video on YouTube. But basically you save your rooms, change the desired lot to residential and insert the rooms.

Its perfectly ok to use the money cheat to adjust for reality. In some lots you would not pay for parking, like as example in a forest or parking space in other like camping grounds you would pay a fee. You also would not pay taxes. To adjust for this (open cheat bar with shift ctrg and c type in the cheat bar on the top left "money x" insert instead of the x the amount you want to have as household money.

I also made a backstory and challenge to go with the save file if you want.

Save File

All residential worlds, except Ciudad Enamorada, Copperdale, Nordhaven and Inisgreen have lots with your RV in it. You just change out the main room and roof (room) if you changed anything. I also added RV's in Granite Falls and Selvadorada and a few hidden lots, to use the vacation world lots in full you need the mod "All worlds are residential" from Zebru.

To build the RV's I used the Mod "Vanlife Ways" from Heybrine.

I will upload a template of the RV as lot save, to use put it in your tray folder! This way you can add the RV to worlds I don't own.

For now I did not change much else, but Newcrest is complete filled with new buildings, lot of them with activities and Magnolia Promenade is also completed new. I also added two new households in Newcrest.

I tried my best to keep the lots so that they have only(isch) items from the base game and the pack of the world. In Newcrest I used the packs and kits I own that don't come with a world. I would say to 99.9% I sticked with this.

Some lots have a little backstory, to make things interesting.

For creating the Save File I used the mods: Better Build Buy, Tool, UI Cheats and the bb.moveobjects cheat. Please do not reupload or claim as your own.

Challenge

The challenge begins with Tanja (of course you can use your own Sim). Please be nice to Tanja she had a ruff time. After catching her boyfriend cheating with her boss, she packs her things and moves to her aunt. Sadly her aunt dies shortly after. Tanja inherits her RV. The aunts son inherits the house and wants to sell it, so he wants her off the property in one week. For 100 Simolinos he will tow the broken RV to the neighborhoods parking space. If you stay longer you have to activate every week an other bad lot trait, your cousin will be angry and there are consequences.

In the RV Tanja finds a bucket list. Her aunt was planning on a last trip with the RV and had a lot on her bucket list. Tanja decides under tears to check off the items of her aunts list in her honor. But first she has to fix the RV, to do so she has to get level 5 in the handiness skill. Than she can start her journey. What adventures are waiting for her?

To move you need gas and gas costs money. To move your RV to a neighborhood lot cost 100 S to a other neighborhood 300 S and to an other world 800 S. Use the money cheat to take the money out of her household money.

To make money she can make music, sell stuff, blog, write books.... She can not work a regular job while on tour. Selling stuff can be done on sale tables (to use the base game sales tables I added, put the stuff on the table not in inventory) or Plopsy (Nifty Knitting) there would be also mods for this. Tipps for making money on the beginning: Singing or playing piano in the night club makes quick money and the museum has a base game sales table in the garden.

If you want you can let someone move in and travel together or get a pet. Its a crowded space, but you do you!

Your aunt had a plan for each world she wanted to visit, so if you visit this world (if you own it) you should try to check this off the list.

The order of the worlds you visit is up to you and you can go back any time. Maybe your Sim even finds a place to stay and maybe someday someone else, maybe a daughter or son, has to complete the list.

If you playing version 2 and change your lot in to residential:

- Of course you would not pay taxes or bills for a lot you just park, so you can cheat here with the money cheat or use a mod like mccc.

- If you want a more challenging ... well challenge, you can pay a fee (reduce the amount with the money cheat) on certain lots like camping places etc. I will write a recommended amount in the lot description on the map view.

- You can collect things on the lots you are staying, some may be helpful if you have the space. You can renovate the inside of the rooms like you want but the floorplan has to stay the same. It is up to you, if you allow your Sim to loot everywhere.

How to move:

A very easy way to move would be just to use the vacation rentals. A better way would be the following, as explained in this YouTube video.

No worry, it sounds more difficult than it is.

1. Write down the household fond money before you move

2. Go in the build buy and save the room to your own gallery if you made changes

3. I would recommend before moving save your game with "save as" under a new name, just in case

4. Go to map view and to the next lot you want to move to and change the lot type to residential (generic would be an option too). In case the lot is a hidden lot, or something like that use the cheat "bb.enablefreebuild" (To open the cheat bar click strg + Shift and c! It can be you have to use the cheat "testingcheats on" first). With the mod All worlds are residential you can also change lots in vacation worlds and buy them, but on hidden lots you can not buy the lot, so you can change the rooms but not pick up stuff.

5. If you saved a room to your gallery you can now insert this in the RV, to do so first delete the room, than insert the new room. If you don't have enough money use the money cheat! To turn a room use the dot key. When filling in a room, for some reason the foundation gets changed, so this has to get changed back.

6. Go back to map view and click on the lot your Sim is still living in, click on the three dots on the right down "move household" Than make sure to select "sell furniertes". If you don't have enough money you can use the cheat "freerealestate on"

7. Now cheat your household money to the amount noted at the beginning. For this use the cheat "money x" instead of the x use the amount.

8. If appropriate add the lot trait off the grid, this was not possible on vacation lots.

The save file goes in the save folder! If you have problems with the download try to download from the CurseForge website, not the app. It also can be possible that you have a save file already with the same name, than just change one number or so.
