To start off the year, I made a base game starter house in just one day. The exterior was based on the house from the Arachnophobia film, though it's smaller and the dormer was removed after a row of unsuccessful attempts. I had taken a screenshot of this house when I saw the movie, and decided to make it in Willow Creek as it matched the ugly suburban I made surprisingly well.

Due to the lot already costing 2000 simoleons, I only had 18000 to work with, which left the place mostly empty. Debug was used pretty much everything as decor (it's free), and the furniture is the cheapest not uncomfortable. The curtains and the exterior wallpaper were unnecessary expenses, but I feel add a lot to the build.

One problem I experienced with the build was the table I placed the TV made it float for some reason. I switched the TV table with the entryway one, which doesn't cause the same issue; and also fixed the mismatching wood tones.

If you download the furnished version of this build, make sure to delete the zoomers delivery bag, as it stops sims from being able to store food at the fridge. Sorry about that!
