Before Christmas I wanted to make a quick build in Mourningvale, the spooky neighborhood of Ravenwood. To facilitate my life, the build is fully symmetrical and was inspired by a nearby fake building, though this wasn't intended to be an accurate Romanian house. It's very open with lots of windows and big rooms, while also having darker colors. 

I imagine the kids lost their younger sibling and became detached from life, with one seeking escape in books while the other does sciency stuff. The elder of the family is a mortician who plays a violin. Their room has more books than clothes and is less colorful than the other rooms.

The floor above has a view to the dining room and is where I placed a bunch of activities for them to do, so they don't just watch TV. Upstairs there's also two bedrooms. The main one is bird themed and has lot of windows, while the smaller one is darker and more death themed.

Overall, the floor plan and roofing came very easily, but the landscaping took me 5 tries to get it right. It is similar to Forgotten Hollow with the tall skinny trees, but the blue flowers and pink trees just stand out from anything I've ever used before. Usually my landscaping is very muted, but this time I had to go all out to match the ethereal surroundings.

There's so much glass indoors that a greenhouse just made sense. They have a ghost cowplant there that didn't want to move on after dying and a bunch of garden pots.
