Evermore Save File Project #24 - Pinehaven Ranch (Copperdale)

Pinehaven Ranch is a small, weathered family property tucked away in the quieter edge of Copperdale. Once maintained by the Mickaelsen family, the ranch carries the weight of old stories, heavy memories, and the kind of silence that stays long after people are gone.

After the family’s financial struggles and the tragic loss of Dylan’s younger sister at age 15, the property slowly fell into disrepair. Now, it is Dylan Mickaelsen (23) and his boyfriend Corey (25) who live here, rebuilding piece by piece, trying to make a home out of what remains.

The ranch is modest, patched together, and imperfect—yet full of soul.
Every corner holds something meaningful:
– The front porch where Dylan spends his evenings fixing tools or simply staring at the treeline.
– The old barn and stable, still carrying the scent of hay and childhood.
– The spare bedroom, intentionally kept free to welcome travelers or seasonal workers who help around the ranch in exchange for a warm bed.

Pinehaven Ranch isn’t a thriving farm.
It’s a place held together by resilience, by second chances, and by the quiet love between two young men who are learning to create the family they never really had.

The Household I imagined:

• Dylan Mickaelsen (23) : quiet, resilient, still grieving, but determined to keep his family land alive.
• Corey (25) : his boyfriend, steady and gentle, dreaming of restoring the ranch into something hopeful.
• The Guest Room : used to host travelers, friends, or seasonal workers who help with daily ranch tasks
