DMR Basic NPC Skills

DMR Basic NPC Skills gives housed NPCs sensible minimum skill levels according to their age. Toddlers and children receive appropriate developmental skills, while teens, young adults, adults, and elders receive progressively higher basic life skills.

The mod never lowers an existing skill: if a Sim is already more skilled than the minimum, their level is left untouched. Babies and infants, your active household, and homeless NPCs are also excluded.

Everything happens automatically when you load a household—install the mod and play normally.

The idea is simple: older Sims should have acquired a little more life experience along the way.
