After the previous build, I thought it would be interesting to make something in the world of the other pack I've used in my Tiny Brazilian Home, Cats and Dogs! Besides that, I've wanted to make a big family house that wasn't in a 30x20 just to vary a bit more. To counter its daunting size, the shape was kept fairly simple, just a plain square with two porches. As for the color story, it was inspired by the salmon couch used in the living room, which was tempting to not include, due to the original living room layout placing it too close to the similar colored curtains, turning the area into a sea of pink. Balancing the amount of pink seemed like the hardest part of the house, but considering the couch had other colors as well, the biggest struggle turned out to be decorating the medium walls of the ground floor, which were chosen because the pack had a few assets of that height I've wanted to use.
About the pack itself, it has charming objects and is fairly well rounded, and the newer base game kitchen set matches so well that I don't mind its absence, although I would've loved to see more stuff for kids, some fun animal wallpapers and floor tiles. As an older pack, it suffers from oversized side tables, mismatched swatches and less detailed assets, the most glaring example is how the wallpapers swatches don't fully match either of the wood floorings. By far, my favorite object from the pack is the mailbox.
As my 28th house of the year (excluding the 2 makeovers of older builds) this is likely going to be the last lot I make before 2026 begins. Compared to 2025, I've built in more worlds, but less in total. Highlights were my participation in the "Brasil com S" Save File, which pushed me to make my first apartment and vet clinic, biggest park and the forementioned Brazilian home, along with a werewolf family, the latter which happened at the same time as my rebuild of Moonwood Mill, the other highlight of this year.
