This was my first time making a shell challenge, which is the one by Lilsimsie, called "St. Jude Shell Challenge" on the gallery (I included it in the files as well for conveniency sake). My plan was to make a beach house, but a cottage just seemed more exciting. it's a shame Henford-on-Bagley lighting has an ugly green tint, had to get the Sunblind mod just to see colors properly, or else I wouldn't have noticed the columns were beige, and not white.

I fell in love with the wisterias vines and just had to include purple inside to match with them, which eventually also found their way in! I'm proud of all the rooms, but the dining, as I wish it could've been bigger, in order to have room for all the sims that could live there. Fortunately, there's a picnic table outside, so it's not as bad.

To ease my way towards the backyard, I started with the sides. One of them couldn't have trees, since it blocked the greenhouse light, so I made a hidden nook for birds. The other had an animal shed and trees, but they were replaced by garden plots, due to making more sense with the amount of critters, and also allowing growing oversized crops. I couldn't make them work in the back because of the pond and their square shape, leading me to add a bonfire instead.

About the pack, it's amazing for exteriors due to all the activities and plants it offers, but nearly all of the landscaping is hidden in debug, some windows are a bit too small, there's only one double door (which is for medium wall height), and the roof details only work for the default roof pitch.

I love the ceilling and wall lights, wallpapers, wood flooring and all the clutter, but the pack lacks furniture, especially for anything other than the kitchen. For example, there's just one double bed, one curtain, no bigger bookshelves or mirrors and the couch set is incomplete. The tables are only one tile wide and the kitchen lacks a matching bar, while the cabinets have fixed clutter that make them easily look repetitive.

July 20th: Updated the build to fix the issue with the grocery bag, which stopped sims from storing food at the fridge, improved the garden patch area, reduced clipping of the rocks with the fence, deleted duplicated objects, replaced the white duck with the mallard one, and now the build correctly says it was me who made it, and not Lilsimsie (which happened because of the shell). Included a cluterless version as a bonus. I'm thinking about renaming it to "simplified" instead, so it's more fitting, but I'm unsure if it's truly clearer, I'll have to get some feedback about this.
