Forgotten cottage in the forest depths, perhaps, was inherited by your character from their grandmother or grandfather, or purchased with the last finances to start a new life.
Despite its modest size, it has everything necessary. However, amenities are located outside. This may cause some difficulties in winter, but probably by that time, the character will have accumulated enough simoleons to build an extension and furnish it with a bathroom.
In general, it is possible to live in this house, but for comfort, efforts will be required: to conduct a general cleaning, make cosmetic repairs, clear overgrowths.
