Auto Grilling – Smarter Grill Autonomy allows Sims to autonomously use grills when they're hungry, while using smarter lot-based behavior to keep grilling natural and prevent unnecessary food spam.
Instead of making Sims grill everywhere all the time, the mod considers where your Sim is, whether they're hungry, and whether they've recently grilled before encouraging the interaction.
🍔 Smarter Autonomous Grilling
With this mod installed, Sims can autonomously decide to prepare food on a grill when they're hungry.
However, grilling behavior changes depending on where your Sim is.
🏠 At Their Owner Lot
At their own lot, Sims will still naturally prefer using a stove for cooking when one is available.
This is intentional, since using the kitchen normally makes more sense at home than constantly going outside to use the grill.
If you specifically want your Sims to use the grill at home, you can temporarily remove the stove and let the grill become their available cooking option.
🌳 At Community Lots
At community lots where outdoor cooking makes sense — such as parks, camping areas, and similar locations — Sims will be more likely to choose grilling.
This helps bring back those little spontaneous moments where Sims gather around a grill, prepare food, eat together, and socialize while spending time outdoors.
🍽️ Hunger-Based Autonomy
Sims won't start grilling simply because a grill happens to be nearby.
They will only autonomously grill when their Hunger is low enough to actually need food, making the behavior feel more purposeful.
⏱️ Built-In Cooldown
Autonomous grilling also has a cooldown.
After a Sim autonomously uses the grill, they won't immediately decide to grill again.
This helps prevent:
• Sims repeatedly grilling back-to-back
• Community lots filling up with unnecessary plates of food
• Multiple unnecessary grilling interactions being pushed too frequently
The goal is to make grilling more common when it makes sense, not turn it into another autonomy spam behavior.
