This mod adds a fully functional Librarian career to The Sims 4, available for teens and adults. Ideal for Sims who love books, order, and silence… or at least try to 😌📖

📌 REQUIREMENTS

⚙️ XML Injector (required)
📦 Expansion Pack required: City Living

📚 Required lot type: Library or Generic
👔 Semi-active career

🏛️ LIBRARY SETUP

📍 You can use any library in the world or create your own.

✔️ Make sure to set the lot type to Library or Generic.

👤 A Librarian NPC will appear on library lots and act as a coworker. The librarian menu will be available to them as if they were a regular visitor.

⚙️ HOW THE MOD WORKS

👗 In Create-a-Sim, assign your Sim the Librarian trait to unlock the special menu.

📲 You can also:

Click on your Sim

Go to the Action Menu

Select Add Librarian Trait
🔄 From this same menu, you can remove the trait whenever you want.

💼 Then:

Find a job

Join the Librarian Career

📚 Book Cart Assistant

Store books

Empty the book bin
💡 Tip: Empty the bin, drag the books to a desk, and your Sim will automatically place them.

Issue library cards (social interaction: Do you have a library card?)

Check overdue fines (Public Library menu)

📖 Reading Facilitator

Read to children

Recommend books (social interaction)

🗂️ Archive Assistant

Preserve historical documents (computer)

Digitize library records (computer)

🏛️ Library Director

Establish library policies (computer)

Plan library programs (computer)

📦 JOB TASKS

📚 The mod includes a functional book deposit box:

Sims return books here

As a librarian, you will need to collect them

You will receive a notification, and the books will go into your inventory

Click on them and select Save Book to place them on shelves

💻 Other tasks include:

Researching archives

Using the Library card catalog

Transcribe documents

Search for books

🔎 “Search for a book” will send a book directly to your inventory.
