❄️ Letter to Father Winter Mod / Spanish translation only

Overview

This New Year mod lets children and teens write a letter to Father Winter to request presents before Christmas. It adds an interactive process for kids to choose from over 200 gift options, grouped into four subcategories:

• Fun: Electronics, toys, bikes, hobby items, books, and magic items for spellcasters.
• Collectibles: Crystals, MySims trophies, capsule figures, and monster cards.
• Handmade Items: Bouquets and knitted clothes.
• Certificates: Non-portable items for hobbies, electronics, decor, and toys.

How It Works

• Writing the Letter:
  • Available to children/teens (with a caregiver/parent in an active household) via a private journal (from Parenthood or Life and Death packs) or on computers.
  • The child selects one gift from a specific category.
  • Once chosen, you get a notification that the letter is ready and must be sent via an interaction on the mailbox.
  • Successfully sending the letter gives the child a happy moodlet.
• Gift Choice by Parents:
  • After the letter is sent, parents/caregivers can choose to purchase the requested gift—or pick an alternative—from a pile of gifts during the winter season.
  • If the chosen gift matches the child’s request, both receive happy moodlets.
  • If a certificate is chosen instead, neutral moodlets are given.
  • If a different gift (non-certificate) is chosen, the child becomes upset and the parents feel sad.
• Reset Option:
  • A mailbox interaction lets you reset the process if something goes wrong or if you want to change the gift.

• Required: Lot51 Core Library, Seasons Pack
• Note: The more additional packs you have, the wider your gift selection will be.

Limitations

• All actions must be performed on the household lot.
• The child and parents must be in the same household and on the same lot during interactions.
• This process is limited by game code constraints.
