Calmer Businesses + Boutique Lot Challenge

Aims to reduce how quickly Businesses populate and give you an option to run slower-paced businesses in general. Overrides the core Small Business Zone Director tuning, zone_director_small_business. INCOMPATIBLE with anything that also modifies this.

----For ALL BUSINESSES----

Reduces how often the game tries to generate new customers. By default it tries every 10 minutes. Now it tries every half hour. This means that while you used to open up and have 6+ customers within an hour, you are now maxed out at gaining 2 customers per hour, if all customers who arrive decide to enter the Business.

I no longer provide flavors for mods. If you'd like this behavior returned to default, or to change it to whatever you want, open the file in Sims 4 Studio. Find "zone_director_small_business". Change the 30 after "customer situation interval" to whatever length of time you desire.

----Boutique Lot Challenge----

Optionally, you can now select the Boutique challenge. This lowers the multipliers on customer counts based on business star level. At each Star Level, the number of customers the game tries to generate is multiplied.

DEFAULT:
1 Star - 1.25x Customers
2 Star - 1.5x
3 Star- 1.75x
4 Star- 2x
5 Star- 2.5x

With this challenge applied, these multipliers are reduced:

1 Star - 1.1x
2 Star - 1.2x
3 Star- 1.3x
4 Star- 1.5x
5 Star- 1.75x

So with this challenge applied a Level 5 Business will only see as many customers as a Level 3 business and a Level 4 business will only see as many as a Level 2 business. For comparisons sake, my Small Business at 3 stars (with the reduced customer spawns from the first part of this mod) had 8 customers after 4 hours, or 2 an hour. But with the Boutique challenge activated, it had 6 customers after 5 hours, as fewer customer spawns were attempted in general, with 1.3x as many versus the default of 1.75x as many.

I'm pretty satisfied with the reduced generation, but the multiplier part of this mod may be tweaked further in the future, or I may add a second lot challenge that makes things even harsher. Currently my 3 star gem store makes a TON of money even with this challenge enabled...and I don't realy want that to happen, so look out for a potential update later this week that adds harsher penalties.

One Purchase Per Customer

Aims to reduce how many things any given customer buys. When a Customer makes a purchase, there is a 75% chance they'll leave the lot immediately, unless they are Materialistic. If they don't leave the lot, there's a 75% chance they'll get a hidden buff that makes them no longer buy things, but still hang out...again, unless they are Materialistic.

If your Business has a wide variety of items for sale this could mean a customer comes in and...buys something for 25 simoleons, and leaves. Or they could choose to buy that 400 simoleon pottery you made! And maybe leave. Instead of coming in and buying 7 items and guaranteeing huge sales.

HEAVILY recommended to be combined with the above mod, as customers will cycle out of the business more instead of hanging around all day, and the lower rates of generation means they may not be immediately replaced. Without the above mod, they'll leave still, but you'll probably still be drowning in customers.

Whether you use Calmer Businesses or not, if your shop is purely for selling things, you'll no longer have people visiting for 10+ hours, they'll cycle out!

Only applies to purchases of items "Set For Sale". Does not affect things like buying coffee from a barista.

Requires Lot51 Core Library!

Small Business Breaks

Businesses and Hobbies does not have a break system. But Employees do have needs and will take "breaks" to solve them. Except...they don't really need them very often. This mod will make your business employee Hunger and Fun lower pretty fast, as well as the hidden EA "Comfort" motive that determines whether Sims want to sit when doing stuff and where to sit (distinct from my fully-featured comfort motive). They'll stop what they're doing to handle these motives and get back to work once they've filled back up. You'll need to provide an employee space for them to get food or fun, or they can use items out and about in the business to do it- it's up to you if you build a special room for them or not, but be aware this mod is not in depth. They'll use available items anywhere if possible. So if your Business is, like mine, a gem and jewelry store, they won't have a lot of options besides the break room. But if you're running an arcade or a computer cafe, your employees will go play the video games and won't need a break area.

NOTE: If you have Marco's Business Overhaul (and you should), his Employee Behaviors module is not compatible with this mod. His mod will make your Employees basically not even care about their fun motive, no matter how low it gets. So if you want to use this mod and his overhaul, remove that module!
