🔖【模組說明&玩法筆記 / Module Introduction & Gameplay Notes】↴
This mod lets you watch real movies at home (only selected scenes from the plot). It does not replace the original movie scenes in the game. Currently, there are 127 movies available (including only SD versions of films and animations), and the author plans to add more in the future.
🔹如何遊玩/How to Play🔹
In addition to installing the main module, you’ll also need to download the DVD files separately. Each movie is a separate file, so you can choose to download only the ones you like.
Once the module is installed, a new menu called “It’s Movie Time” will appear on TVs, game consoles, and computers. Your Sims can watch DVDs through the “Watch DVD...” option or by selecting “Open...”. They can also watch DVD movies together with others.
If you don’t want to browse the full movie list, you can choose the “Play Random Movie” option to turn on the TV.
- Added a new settings menu: Players will be able to disable specific features of the module or configure it according to their needs.
The “Turn On” function locks the selected DVD movie, preventing other Sims from taking over the TV until it’s turned off. This feature is especially useful for movie theater setups. (Note: The “Turn On” option only appears on TVs and game consoles.)
This mod also includes a “DVD Player Console” object. If you have the City Life expansion pack, it can be used to watch DVDs. Without the required pack, however, it will function purely as a decorative item.
You can also invite friends to watch DVDs together. If you want to invite more people at once, you can use the "Invite to watch a movie" option on the phone, and you can invite up to 8 people.
Inviting people to watch movies is a social activity task that needs to be completed, and rewards will be given after completion.
This mod also includes several movie posters, perfect for decorating your home theater. You can now also have Sims watch movies together. There are two poster styles, each featuring different designs.
The “Hug While Watching Movies” interaction requires the Movies Together DLC to work.
If you own the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter DLCs, a movie premiere event will take place once a week, with each premiere featuring a different film. On the day of the premiere, Sims can also discuss the movie through a special interaction, making the experience even more engaging. If you prefer not to have the movie premiere event, you can disable it in the settings menu or customize it to suit your preferences.
🔹電影偏好設定/Movie Preferences🔹
After watching a movie, Sims will discover whether they like a particular movie genre. If they enjoy or dislike a genre, they can discuss it with other Sims who share the same preferences. Watching a genre they dislike will lower their mood and reduce their enjoyment. Movie preferences can also be edited in CAS.
When watching movies autonomously, Sims will avoid genres they don’t like.
